4th - Received with thanks - £500.00 from the 21st Golf Society, Golf Club in Herefordshire

Bromsgrove Golf Club raise £1594 for Mercia Accident Rescue Service.

Club Captain Mark Hawkins stated " MARS is a much deserved cause and and I had no hesitation in choosing them for my nominated charity in 2008. To raise over £1500 is a great achievement and thanks need to go to the golf club members, the golf centre and the golf professionals for their time, generosity and support".

Money was collected through a series of events through the year including: Raffles at the golf competitions, the Captain swam in a swimathon, A Golf Endurance Event and a Sponsored run.

The presentation of the cheque to the Mercia Accident Rescue Service took place on Tuesday 10th February when the 2008 Captain Mark Hawkins and Lady Captain Debbie Degge handed over a cheque to the Charity's Chairman Dr John Hall.
